The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tactical Retail Development Representative to come and join our leading Field Sales team. The successful candidate will be based ideally near Coventry, but your skills will be deployed across different areas, predominantly around the Midlands, to meet business needs.

In this role, you will be working with our industry leading brands such as JPS Players, Lambert & Butler, Rizla and Golden Virginia. This is a tactical level frontline sales role, where you will be travelling the UK distributing our products to independent retailers and Key Accounts such as Tesco & ASDA. This is a highly challenging and rewarding role where you will have day to day contact with a wide-ranging customer base. On top of this, we also offer a world class training programme, enabling you to develop yourself into a best-in-class salesperson setting you up for future opportunities to potentially secure your own permanent area.

Key accountabilities

  • Build an in-depth understanding of customer needs and shopper dynamics.
  • Distribute our world-famous brands such as JPS Players, Lambert & Butler, Rizla and Golden Virginia.
  • Lead discussions with retailers to ensure maximum distribution of our products.
  • Educate retailers about our products to ensure they have the best knowledge to pass onto the consumer.
  • As a Tactical Retail Development Representative this role requires flexibility to move around a large geographical area, this will include staying away from home regularly

Skills & experience

  • The drive, energy and behaviours to succeed in a challenging but rewarding category
  • Proven track record of sales experience and achieving sales targets desirable
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to quickly build strong relationships.
  • Ability to use your initiative and to act independently when required.
  • Strong will to succeed and set yourself stretching targets.
  • You are efficient, accurate and timely in the administration associated with the role
  • Educated to a minimum A level standard

What we offer

This role offers up to £30k salary plus up to 24% bonus, company car, competitive pension and 29 days holiday
