The Role

For our Finance team in Hamburg, we are looking for a Business Performance Finance Business Partner (m/f/d)!

As direct report of the Finance Manager Germany, the Business Performance Finance Business Partner is responsible for the consolidating, reviewing and challenging all market P&Ls (including Gross Margin, A&P and Overheads) within the Cluster DACH. Adjusting market targets if necessary, in cooperation with FD and comparing to actuals. Prepare overview reports and ensure transparency of current market performance. Business partnering with Finance Managers and consulting all involved Stakeholders to achieve overall Cluster targets. It includes staff management, two controllers reporting directly to the position.

What are your major duties?

• Business Partnering with all Finance Managers within the Cluster during forecasting and for specific projects
• Coordinating, preparing and steering of month and year end closing including commenting on deviations of actuals vs forecast and plan, proposing improvements and mitigation measures
• Defining and coordinating financial forecasting processes for the Cluster cascaded by Group or Division
• Creating a Cluster P&L by consolidating market P&Ls
• Checking and challenging market P&Ls in order to achieve market targets and aligning of adjustments if necessary.
• Preparing reports for Cluster Leadership Team in order to ensure transparency
• Presenting insights to the Cluster Leadership Team to support the decision making process
• Support the creation of Investment Applications, challenging assumptions, evaluating the ROI and working cross functionally
• Ensuring all Cluster Controlling processes and systems are in accordance with Group Finance guidelines
• Ensuring Best Practice sharing between all Cluster Controllers
• Preparing presentations for regular business updates including Business Planning Divisional QBRs, Reemtsma Town Halls and Monthly Performance updates
• Working closely with the Cluster Finance Managers to ensure high standards of governance and compliance
• Leading core projects in Finance department for the Cluster defined by Finance Manager Cluster / Finance Manager Germany
• Drives scenario planning and modelling in order to maximise share, revenue and profit delivery
• Assesses financial impact of emerging business opportunities and risks at the Market / Cluster level (i.e. Opportunities & Risks, RAG exercises)
• Strategic commentary and insights to financial performance reporting
• Responsible for DACH Cluster Working Capital forecast, identify and explore opportunities to further improve the process and the cash position of the Cluster
• Responsible for NGP forecast and performance insights (German market)

Who are you?

• University degree in Business Administration, ideally with Finance Focus or Financial Qualification
• Several years of professional experience within Finance, preferably in FMCG environment
• Strong analytical skills and strategic ways of thinking
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Result-oriented approach with the ability to support others as well as take an independent position
• Ability to influence and work effectively cross-functional
• Very good PC skills are required (MS office and SAP)
• Fluency in English, German language skills are desirable
