The role

The role holder will partner the AAACE and GSC P&C Business Partners in pursuit of our ambitious business strategy and transformation plans and specifically to develop and implement an aligned TA Strategy and the plans required to deliver business objectives.

The role holder will partner with hiring managers in AAACE and GSC and working closely with the P&C Business Partners for both areas, they will lead on delivering business critical Resourcing Plans and strategic TA initiatives. In addition, they will coach, challenge and influence hiring managers in order to align the needs of the business and the delivery of the business priorities and TA plans.

Reports functionally to the Global Head of TA Delivery and leads on delivering the Regional TA resourcing plan. They must also ensure local alignment and drive delivery of the agreed local People and Culture TA agenda and plans.

The incumbent will lead and manage a hybrid team of one Imperial and c10 RPO Recruiters to ensure that we attract and hire diverse talent with critical skills and experience and at the right time, right cost and in the right location to enable and accelerate delivery of business performance.

They will proactively communicate with stakeholders, mediating between global and local needs to ensure global consistency and local relevance. Critically, they will Help TA shift from a Regional perspective, to proactive strategic hiring against a workforce plan and Annual Recruitment Forecast.

Key Accountabilities

  • As a TA functional expert, shapes and champions efficient delivery of TA, aligned with the strategic people & culture agendas of the two areas
  • Leads on delivering the Functional Resourcing Plans and delivery for the Global Resourcing COE – ensuring active partnership and delivery of effective service against SLAs and KPIs
  • Develops Talent Attraction strategies and the compelling Employer Brand activations to ensure that Europe and Global Functions can attract, motivate and retain the diverse talent and critical skills required
  • Champions the proactive development and delivery of DE&I strategy and plans to ensure that we attract and develop the diverse talent that will underpin our business success
  • Leads and manages a hybrid Imperial/RPO team for the Region and will be responsible for reviewing performance, proactively addressing any issues/concerns and ensuring that SLAs are being met and ultimately that a seamless recruitment service is offered across the Region as one TA team
  • Develops a Regional DEI TA plan in line with our business targets and measured against agreed metrics
  • Serves as the regional brand and communications lead for the Imperial EVP, delivering the activation plan and effective communication to multiple stakeholder groups, including Regional management as well as local recruiters, to maintain alignment across the business
  • Mediates between global and local needs to ensure global consistency and local relevance
  • Ensures that Regional TA strategies are aligned by maintaining communication with Regional counterparts and reporting into Global TA Director
  • Supports recruiting with hands on end to end delivery, as required
  • Liaises directly with hiring managers and other key stakeholders to ensure high levels of hiring manager satisfaction and candidate experience
  • Develops and manages a dashboard of key TA metrics, such as vacancy volumes, time to fill, source of hire and cost per hire, to ensure both efficient and effective recruitment and to identify and implement actionable insights to drive continuous improvements in TA systems and processes
  • Actively leads the Regional TA team towards achievement of KPIs, leading any system or process improvements and leading any required upskilling of the Team
  • Leads and actively contributes to evaluations, pilots and implementations of leading-edge recruiting tools such as ATS, AI sourcing and Textio to ensure continuous improvement
  • Creates a high performing team with appropriate succession

Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Degree calibre intellect and learning agility
  • Significant in-house corporate recruiting experience, leading remote teams of Recruiters
  • Demonstrable success and experience of Recruiting Team leadership and capability management
  • Demonstrable experience of reducing cost out of the Talent Acquisition process
  • Experience of developing new ways of working in Recruitment bringing new external practices
  • Excellent coaching and leadership skills to develop the TA team
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels and across all boundaries
  • Excellent relationship management skills, able to build relationships with key stakeholders across the global business
  • Excellent customer focused communication skills
  • Systems literate and willing to advocate and adopt new ways of working utilising leading edge technology
  • Acts, as a passionate, credible and enthusiastic advocate and subject matter expert when presenting the rationale for and benefits of in-house direct sourcing recruitment

Desirable:

  • Some experience working outside the job holder’s home territory
