The Role

Imperial Brands is an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees, we are looking for a Group Privacy and Data Assistant to join our team in Bristol.  The role is a 12 month fixed term opportunity.

Reporting to the Group Privacy & Data Protection Manager, the Group Privacy & Data Protection Assistant is responsible for supporting the ongoing delivery of Imperial’s privacy programme to enable the business to handle person information in line with data protection legislation. 

Principal Accountabilities

• Providing administrative assistance to the Privacy and Data Protection team.
• Assisting with the review of privacy policies and completing relevant UK company annual registrations with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
• Maintaining the online Privacy Centre and the Privacy & DP Community Teams site.
• Managing the Privacy & DP Community calendar, distributing agenda and actions, keeping a record of attendance at DP Leads/Champions monthly calls and maintaining an accurate list of global DP Leads.
• Circulating requests for information and distributing guidance and materials to the Privacy & DP Community;
• Conducting research on applicable privacy laws and regulations;
• Other ad-hoc tasks under the supervision of the Group Privacy & Data Protection Manager.

Skills and Experience Required

• Knowledge and experience of Privacy & Data protection
• Familiar with a compliance environment
• Excellent organisational skills to plan, organise and prioritise tasks
• Confident, proactive and self-starting
• Collaborative team player
• Experience with Microsoft Teams/SharePoint
• Comfortable with OneTrust (or learning if not already familiar)
