The Role

We are currently recruiting a Test Technician to join us in our Liverpool office.

Embark on a thrilling journey with us at Imperial Brands! As Test Technician, a role within the R&D pillar of the Innovation function working within the Device Development team. You will report to the Test & Compliance Engineer, playing a key part in supporting the Engineers on new product development projects.

Principle Accountabilities

• Assist Development Engineers to test prototypes & work on new technology projects and product developments.
• Complete product testing activities, together with capture of results and creating reports/documentation.
• Operate, maintain, and commission workshop equipment, maintaining workshop standards ensuring upkeep of test equipment, tools, provisions and consumables adhering to H&S guidelines.
• Produce jigs and fixtures in support of R&D, prototype assembly and testing activities.
• Assembly/disassembly of prototypes and test samples
• Prepare product samples for consumer and sensory testing.

Skills and Experience Required

• Experience in an electrical & mechanical product testing role
• Experience with data acquisition and data logging
• Ability to use/operate general workshop Hand/Machine tools.
• Planning and completing work to agreed standards.
• Exposure to workshop environment and test equipment
• Creation of technical documents and reports
