The Role

An exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our logistics innovation!

We are looking for a Global Category Buyer Logistics to drive our logistics operations. Based in our Warsaw office, you will have the freedom to craft and implement the procurement strategy for key global logistics categories such as ocean freight, road freight, parcels, and warehousing. As the Global Category Buyer Logistics, you will travel between 20-50% for project involvement, spearheading projects that not only drive cost savings and enhance our cash position but also align with our ambitious 2040 net-zero carbon strategy.

In addition to being part of an inclusive, forward-thinking global FMCG business supported by 25,000 passionate employees - This truly impactful role places you at the heart of our operations, where you will represent Imperial Brands to our supplier base, collaborating closely with our local procurement teams, Global Logistics Business Partners, and the Senior Management of Global Supply Chain.

Principal Accountabilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for a logistics procurement category (aligned with overall business objectives)
• Contribute to the execution of end-to-end logistics and net zero strategies with key stakeholders
• Continuous improvement to drive costs down while maintaining quality and reducing planet impact
• Identify and manage risks whilst ensuring that suppliers meet our safety, security and quality requirements
• Lead global/regional RFQs, negotiating and contracting, in conjunction with global logistics and local procurement teams
• Research into market trends, inflation and innovations to deploy within the logistics and procurement community

Skills & Experience Required

• Robust expertise in Logistics Procurement
• Background in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business
• Self-leadership and ability to work autonomously
• Results oriented but driven to deliver through collaboration and team leadership
• Well organized, reliable and commercially aware
• Experience of using Procurement spend tools & analytics, including Excel skills
