Strategic HR Business Partner – Central Eastern Europe

The Role

The Strategic People & Culture Business Partner for the Central Eastern Europe Cluster within Imperial Brands acts as an internal consultant and member of the key markets’ Leadership Teams. With a deep understanding of their business area they will provide expert advice and challenge in order to align the needs of the business and the delivery of the Market & Cluster people priorities and plan.

Working with Cluster People & Culture Director, the role will be responsible for managing, cascading and monitoring all Global processes as well as guiding and coaching Senior Leaders in areas such as performance, talent management and succession planning.

The Strategic People & Culture Business Partner will role model our values, behaviours and  Leadership framework and will play a key role in the implementation of the People and Culture mission and strategy.  The role is based in Prague and will be part of the Market leadership Team.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Influences business strategy providing highly relevant insight into workforce and culture and translates the business strategy into People Strategies
  • Builds strong relationships with the COEs and People Services to leverage their expertise and support to help implement the people strategies and plans.
  • Leads Strategic Workforce Planning/Shaping for the Czech Market, leveraging workforce analytics and insights, and promotes data led decision making including oversight of IME population
  • Drives Connected Performance, Talent and Succession Planning, including coaching Senior Leaders in creating a performance culture and provides Leadership, facilitates change and identifies opportunities to unlock business value
  • Supports function/cluster specific organisational effectiveness, change management and organisational design / restructuring leveraging the CoEs as appropriate
  • Manages employee bodies e.g. Unions, Works Councils etc information and consultation requirements and acts as the escalation point on Employee Relations issues and is responsible for local strategic policy
  • Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and takes informed risks and/or mitigates people and business risks where necessary to support delivery of strategic initiatives

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in translating business strategy into people strategy and building relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across P&C and within functions/cluster
  • Strategic workforce planning experience and the ability to analyse and interpret data for insight and storytelling to inform data led decision making
  • Coaching of senior managers to enable a high performance culture
  • Strong Leadership, Communication and Change Management skills with sound professional judgement and understanding of key P&C processes
  • Experience working in and navigating a global matrix organisation
  • Understanding commercial and financials for function and wider business
